Free Online CKD-EPI eGFR Calculator

The CKD-EPI eGFR Calculator estimates kidney function by calculating the estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) using serum creatinine, age, sex, and optionally serum cystatin C. Developed by the Chronic Kidney Disease Epidemiology Collaboration, this updated 2021 equation removes race as a factor to provide more accurate and unbiased kidney function assessment. It is widely used to detect and monitor chronic kidney disease, especially useful when GFR is above 60 mL/min/1.73 m². The calculator improves precision over older formulas like MDRD and aids clinical decision-making but requires clinical context for interpretation.
